Benguet Cops Burn P400K Worth of Marijuana Plants in Kibungan
As a result of the continuous conduct of anti-illegal drug operations in the region, the Cabalyero Cops of Benguet Police Provincial Office (PPO) discovered and burned a total of PhP400,000.00 worth of marijuana plants in Brgy. Tacadang, Kibungan, Benguet on December 26, 2024.
According to reports from the Regional Operations Division of Police Regional Office Cordillera Administrative Region (PRO-CAR), a marijuana plantation site planted with 2,000 pieces of Fully Grown Marijuana Plants with a Standard Drug Price of Php400,000.00 was found in Brgy. Tacadang by the joint operatives of Kibungan Municipal Police Station (MPS), Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit and Provincial Intelligence Unit of Benguet PPO, Regional Intelligence Division of PRO-CAR, and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR).
All discovered marijuana plants were documented, uprooted, and burned on-site, while enough samples were taken for submission to the Regional Forensic Unit-CAR.
Furthermore, the operatives are conducting follow-up investigations aimed at identifying other marijuana cultivation sites in nearby areas and apprehending individuals involved in the cultivation of marijuana. (PIO PRO-CAR /File Photo)
