BCT athletes commended anew for placing 4th in PRISAA national games
City officials recently congratulated and commended the athletes of the Baguio College of Technology (BCT) that represented the city in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) and for placing 4th in the overall ranking during the Private Schools Athletic Association (PRISAA) national games 2023.
In a resolution authored by Councilor Vladimir Cayabas, local legislators stated that the local government proudly recognizes and commends the invaluable contributions and dedication of the athletes in giving pride and honor to the city not only as the center of education of the north but also as a home of irresistible athletes.
Earlier, the PRISAA held its national games 2023 last July 13-19, 2023 at Zamboanga City after three years of postponement due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The annual tournament was participated in by more than 6,000 athletes from 437 schools, colleges and universities from the different parts of the country.
Among the BCT athletes who represented the city and the Cordillera who were able to garner medals were Rachelle A. Abuan, Kate Lovely A. Binalay, Abigail B. Cunanan, Shery Mae B. Estal, Maridette Geri M. Frianel, Jasmynne Joyce P. Polon and Shannel D. Toledo for volleyball women;
Copies of the approved resolution will be furnished to the said athletes and to the Baguio College of Technology for their information, guidance, ready reference and further needed action. – Dexter A. See
