BARANGAY SHILAN MINI FLOAT.

Presenting the Strawberry Festival 2023 Barangay Shilan Mini Float in the category of Pro-environment. One of the Municipality’s advocacies is sustaining a clean and green environment to promote tourism and healthy constituents, despite the pandemic, the cooperation is still intact.

The Strawberry presents two varieties being grown in our municipality of La Trinidad, while the rainbow above represents the brighter future ahead of us despite the pandemic. The three layers of cake of the strawberry represent the three years of the pandemic. The three years of a pandemic that was not celebrated in the past festival.

The sunflower symbolizes our barangays main attraction of its tourism spot and anthurium, which represents the cut flowers production of the barangay.

The kayabang and pasiking believed to be more than 50 years of age depict, that Barangay Shilan still owns one of our cultural heritages.

Drum and Lyre, Street Dancing, and Small Floats parade is one of the highlights of the Strawberry Festival held at the Km. 5, La Trinidad, Benguet on March 18, 2023, and the theme for this year is “A festival for Recovery: Building a Brighter Future from Adversities”  Photos by: Mario Oclaman // FNS
