BAGUIO WALKS FOR S.A.F.E. NLE 2022

15 aspiring political leaders of Baguio City have joined the Unity Walk and Pledge of Commitment for the S.A.F.E. 2022 on March 23, 2022.

The program is initiated by Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) together with DILG Baguio, COMELEC, the Philippine Army, and the various religious leaders of Baguio.

The unity walk has started in Veterans Park and ended in Malcolm Square where a simple program was held.

During the program, the Director of DILG Baguio, Ms. Evelyn Trinidad, reminded the candidates to refrain from influencing people using money and other things of value to undermine the election and make this covenant their commitment to maintaining the integrity, security, and sanctity of the elections.

Meanwhile, in a statement, COMELEC Regional Director, Atty. Ederlino Tabilas congratulated the candidates of Baguio City for showing unity, camaraderie, discipline, and attitude by joining the activity.

Also, Baguio City Police Office Director, PCOL Glenn Lonogan, expressed that even though Baguio is expected to have a peaceful election, the police force with the help of its counterparts will remain steadfast to ensure a S.A.F.E. 2022.

The activity was ended with the Integrity Pledge and the signing of the peace covenant.(PROCOR-PIO)
