Baguio celebrates International Women’s Month 2023
The Baguio City Police Office (BCPO), through the City Community Affairs and Development Unit (CCADU), celebrated the 2023 International Women’s Month with the theme “We for Gender Equality and Inclusive Society at Malcolm Square, Baguio City, on March 9, 2023.
The activity was graced by Rev. Rowena Orajay of Jesus Reigns Ministry as the guest of honor and speaker.
In her message, Rev. Orajay encouraged her Ka-Juanas to start the change in their simple ways, saying.
“With women and everyone’s synergy, we can create a great impact on society.”
The BCPO and PROCOR Peacemakers Band rocked the residents of Baguio in their live concert, while the Cultural dancers of BCPO also spiced up the celebration with their jubilant performance and community dance, joined by the spectators.
It was participated by the gallant women of various officers and stations of BCPO members of Kabataan Kontra Droga at Terorismo (KKDAT) and the Women’s Brigade, and passersby who were drawn by the entertainers.
During the celebration, personnel of the BCPO medical services was on standby to provide medical assistance.
This yearly event provides a forum to debate ongoing and new women’s empowerment and gender equality issues, concerns, and commitments while also serving as a moment to recognize the accomplishments of women.
