Another Four drug personalities nabbed; P480K worth of marijuana burned
A total of Php 37,603.32 worth of shabu were seized from four (4) drug personalities while Php 480,000.00 worth of marijuana plants were burned after separate anti-illegal drug operations conducted in Baguio City, Mt. Province, and Benguet on March 21, 2023.
Based on the reports submitted to the PROCOR Regional Director, PBGEN DAVID K PEREDO JR., the arrested suspects were identified as Anna-Lynn Lee, 50 years old; Francisco Corpuz Jr., 25; David Eguid, 43, and Jodell Montealegre, 18.
In Brgy. Fairview, Baguio City, operatives of Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) arrested suspect Corpuz, Jr. after he sold one (1) plastic sachet of suspected shabu with an estimated weight of 0.9 grams and a Standard Drug Price (SDP) of Php 6,120.00.00 to an operative who acted as a poseur buyer.
In Brgy. Pinget, Baguio City, joint personnel of BCPO Camdas Police Station (PS2) and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) -Baguio arrested suspect Lee after he sold one (1) plastic sachet of suspected shabu with an estimated weight of 0.47 grams and an SDP of Php 3,196.00 to an operative who acted as a poseur buyer.
Further in Mt. Province, operatives of Paracelis Municipal Police Station (MPS) arrested suspects Eguid, and Montealegre after they were caught in a drug session in Brgy. Bantay, Paracelis. Operatives seized three (3) plastic sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated weight of 4.1599 grams and SDP of Php 28,287.32 from their possession.
The markings and inventory of the pieces of evidence recovered were done on-site in the presence of the arrested suspects and witnessed by representatives from the Department of Justice (DOJ), media, and elected barangay officials.
Meanwhile, the continuous search of PROCOR cops for marijuana plantation sites has resulted in the discovery of 480 pieces of fully-grown marijuana plants (FGMP) with an SDP of Php 480,000.00 in the three plantation sites at Sitio Lingey and Sitio Pakak in Brgy. Kayapa, Bakun, Benguet.
All marijuana plants were uprooted and burned on-site site while the continuous investigation is ongoing to apprehend possible cultivators. (PROCOR-PIO / File Photos)
