AIRPORT INSPECTION

Mayor Benjamin B. Magalong, together with the Punong barangays of Loakan Proper, Loakan Apugan, and Atok Trail, and officials of the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) conducted an ocular inspection at the Loakan airport as part of the preparations for the projected operation of the airport next month. Also joining the said inspections were representatives from the City Engineering Office (CEO), Department of Public works and Highways – Baguio City District Engineering Office (DPWH-BCDEO), City Environment and Parks Management Office (CEPMO), and City Buildings and Architecture Office (CBAO). Vice Mayor Faustino Olowan, members of the city council, and concerned stakeholders actively participated in a briefing that was held at the airport office right after the said inspection where CAAP Airport manager Rosito Tamayo, Jr. presented the plans for the airport operation by December 16, 2022.  Photos by Neil Clark Ongchangco
