AFP reservist officer recognized

City officials recently congratulated and commended Commander Anthony R. de Leon for having been consecutively adjudged as the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Reservist Officer of the Year.

In a resolution, local legislators stated that the people and officialdom of the city are proud of the success achieved by De Leon in the field of being a reserved officer while being able to perform his duties and responsibilities as the general manager of the Baguio Country Club (BCC).

Earlier, De Leon was designated as the officer-in-charge of the Naval Forces Reserve–Northern Luzon stationed in Dagupan City, Pangasinan from June 16, 2022 to the present and he had actively led the said force in participating in various law enforcement, military and civic action operations in Baguio and Northern Luzon.

He was again adjudged as the AFP’s Reservist Officer of the Year during the 444th National Reservists’ Week awarded by the AFP Chief of Staff last September 30, 2023.

The body claimed that De Leon was unprecedentedly bestowed the same award for two consecutive years, 2022 and 2023.

The council noted that reputable national institutions duly recognize the multiple accolades and accomplishments of Cdr.  De Leon in recognition of his generous contributions.

Copies of the approved resolution will be transmitted to De Leon for his information, guidance, ready reference and further needed action. – Dexter A. See
