ABRA WALKS FOR S.A.F.E. NLE 2022

To promote a Secure, Accurate, Fair/ Free Election (S.A.F.E) National and Local Election 2022, the police officers of Abra PPO initiated a unity walk in Bangued, Abra on March 22, 2022.

Together with the COMELEC; DILG; NAMFREL; PPCRV; Religious Leaders; Abra Peace Convenors’ Group; political aspirants for provincial posts and other sectoral representatives, the participants walked from Abra Sports Complex towards Camp Colonel Juan Villamor wherein a simple program was held.

As the highlights of the program, an interfaith rally, peace covenant signing or the signing of the Integrity Pledge, lighting of the Unity Candles, and Voters Pledge were conducted.

In a statement, the Acting Provincial Director, PCOL MALY CULA said that the activity is the manifestation of their commitment for a Secure, Accurate, Free, and Fair Elections 2022.

“Indeed, collaboration and multisectoral partnership bring us to the successful realization of our collective desires—all for the peaceful and orderly conduct of the electoral process in our beloved Province of Abra”, PCOL CULA added.

The activity was concluded with the release of doves and white balloons to symbolize the multisectoral desires and aspirations for SAFE 2022. (PROCOR-PIO)
