Paggunita sa ika-125 taon ng kabayanihan ni Dr. Jose Rizal ginanap sa Lungsod ng Baguio

BAGUIO CITY – (December 30, 2021) – Isang payak na palatuntunan at pag-aalay ng bulaklak ang isinagawa sa bantayog ni Dr. Jose Rizal para gunitain ang ika-125 anibersaryo ng kabayanihan ni Jose Rizal na ang tema para sa taong ito ay, RIZAL: Para sa Agham, Katotohanan at Buhay (RIZAL: For Science, Truth and Life)

Ikinagagalak ng city officials, Rizal Monument Barangay, Kapatiran Rizalista Community Development, Baguio Masonic Lodge 67, Law enforces, at mga kadete ng PMA na nabigyan ng pagkakataon na maging panauhing pandangal si Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner Jr., Commanding General. Philippine Army.

Pinangunahan ni Kagalang-galang Bise-Alkalde Faustino A. Olowan na gumaganap na Alkalde ng Lungsod ang pambungad na pananalita.

Sa kanyang maikling mensahe ay iniugnay niya ito para sa mga frontliners na nagsakripisyo sa kanilang tungkulin para mapangalagaan ang bawat isa sa atin na ang iba ay nagbuwis ng kanilang buhay, ngunit dahil sa kanilang paninindigan na tulungan mailigtas ang ating mga kababayan ay nagpatuloy sila hanggang sa ngayon.

“Like our National Hero Dr. Jose Rizal, may we all be frontliners for Nationalism, Unity and Peace for the continuous growth and betterment of our city,” ani Olowan

Kinakatawan ni Madam Sol Go si Congressman Mark Go bilang panauhin sa Rizal Commemoration na nagbigay ng mensahe na dito ay itinampok ang pagiging hindi makasarili at sakripisyo ni Jose Rizal gayundin ang kanyang pagmamahal at paglilingkod sa bayan.

 “Katulad ni Rizal, ating isabuhay ang pagmamahal para sa bayan ng ating pambansang bayani sa pamamagitan ng pagbuhos n gating kaalaman at kakayahan para sa ikabubuti ng nakararami” ani Sol Go

Isang nakalulugod na mensahe naman ang ipinahayag ni Lt. Gen. Brawner Jr.

“This morning we are honoring our National Hero Dr. Jose Rizal, and we serve the cadets of PMA, well though for us this beautiful tradition of wreath laying, the cadets had did this honor a First Class cadets leads our freshmen with the Philippine Military Academy and I’m very happy that they conducted it without any error, because this is the first time that they came out of the PMA to conduct such a ceremony.

“Last year, December 15 I left Baguio City, PMA as the commandant of cadets, and so while ago when I was standing in front of the cadets, all I could notice was the unshine buckles, un ironed pants, or the dress codes and so on.. , that a really it was very beautiful ceremony,”

“125 years ago and the hollowed grounds of Bagumbayan, the Filipino people serve the greatest sacrifice made by a man who has distilled to become our National Hero, his death has left an ultimate mark of courage to all Filipinos to stand and fight for freedom against the cruelty of colonialism, this man is no other than Dr. Jose Protacio Rizal, who selflessly dedicated his life for the love of his countrymen.

Today, we honored the patriotic deeds of Dr. Rizal who’s writing started the spark of the Filipino revolution against the intruders of our country for more than three centuries hence, his acts of compassion of his being a man for others serve as a motivation to all of us.

The theme for this year RIZAL: Para sa Agham, Katotohanan at Buhay really reflects the characteristics of our hero more than words our hero Dr. Rizal is a man of action and compassion, who is writings he express the truth behind the colonialization of foreigners, as our hero he also advocated for a man violent approach, he believe that the pen is mightier than a sword, in fact, he exercise this through his writings rather than the use of violence.

When I was commandant of cadets of course with the cooperation of the cadets themselves we were able to eradicate a malpractice that has been academy for so many decades and that is the malpractice of hazing, just like the believe of Jose Rizal, we believe that in order to need men, women and combat, we do not actually have to use violence.

In fact, it is better to be a servant leader who is respected by the subordinates rather than the autocratic leader heard by the subordinates.

At this point, I call upon the Philippine Army’s peace and nation building partners “Kayo po yun, lahat po kayo let us be united to end all forms of threats in the country”, through the spirits of Bayanihan, the realization of true and lasting peace and sustainable development in our country are possible.

“Sama-sama po natin isabuhay ang mga aral ng ating bayaning si Dr. Jose Rizal upang mapagtagumpayan ang mga pagsubok at kinakaharap natin sa ating bayan, huwag po natin sayangin ang mga sakripisyo ni Dr. Rizal at ng iba pa nating mga bayani,”

I urge you to accomplish this by being of service to one another, further, I acknowledge the Rizal life personalities of our modern day heroes, our soldiers, our policemen, our firemen and other uniform personnel whose great sacrifice and his strong sense of patriotism for the country are immeasurable, our health workers who are the fore front of confronting the pandemic across the country, the other frontliners who continuously toil 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to ensure the safety survival and continuing development of our country.

As I speak to you this morning, a lot of our Kababayans in Mindanao and in Visayas are suffering because of the wrath of typhoon “Odette’, imagine the Christmas that they spent and the New Year that they will be spending in a few days, kawawang-kawawa po sila, talagang nasira ang kanilang mga kabahayan at kabuhayan, and we are trying to help them as much as possible, the soldiers, police and our civic workers are working really hard in order to bring the much needed supplies to our countrymen.

Their admirable dedication to their work and passion to deliver service to other serve as an inspiration to everyone.

I therefore commend them for their tireless assistance and services to our people and our nation.

I urge therefore all of you to continue to forming the tasks and fulfilling your sworn duty for every Filipino wherever you are in this country.

Dr. Jose Rizal serve as a consistent as an inspiration to all of us,  I assure everyone that your Philippine Army will always be by your side to support you.
