SM City Baguio holds a thanksgiving and awarding of certificate of appreciation to some LGU’s and media partners on December 18, 2021, at SM City Baguio Sky Terrace, Amphitheater
SM Baguio is very thankful to the city for the success in the planting of 500,000 Pine saplings. In the audiovisual presentation, the areas where planted were shown along with the employees of each department of SM, even some media partners also participated in the tree planting activities.
Earlier, the Plaque of Appreciation was awarded to DENR-CENRO Engr. Leandro De Jesus, Baguio City Health Officer Dra. Celia Flor Brillantes and PMA Assistant Superintendent Roger Viduya for the success of SM City of Baguio in its commitment to be one of the sustainability efforts of LGU Baguio.
Also, some media partners received a plaque of appreciation are Amianan Balita Ngayon, Baguio Herald Express, Baguio Midland Courier, DZBS Baguio, Bombo Radyo Philippines, Filipino News Sentinel, Luzon Journal, Net 25, Philippine Information Office, Office of the Mayor, and Philippine Information Agency.
After the Cordillera Cultural Performance of UC Saeng Ya Kasay Cultural Ensemble, the SM executives gave an inspirational talk.
SM AVP for Operations North Luzon 1 Engr. Marc Janssen Pe said, “Since day one, SM is very much grateful to be in a partner of Baguio City and the whole region by being one with the community it has been in our daily mission to provide and serve the people and take good care of our costumers, we are always put our best put forward to those homegrown entrepreneurs and support our local artist and craftsmen to more initiated program promoting and a preserving the Cordilleran culture and heritage,”

Mall Manager, SM Baguio Rona Vida Correa said, “We continue to create programs that care for the environment and promote sustainable development and underground rainwater, the increased parking slot in the expansion building is to alleviate traffic as well as protect the area from the threats on soil erosion and landslide. Here at SM we also prioritize the health and safety of our community amidst the pandemic, we create more safe spaces for our customer’s benches and parks and workplaces to become greener, safer and brighter.
