Kalinga cops conduct “Hatid-Tulong” for Senior Citizens and PWD’s in Pinukpuk
With the “Kapwa Ko, Sagot Ko” program and Rektang Konek Food Bank Program of the PNP, police officers of Pinukpuk Municipal Police Station (MPS) conducted a #BARANGAYanihan through “Hatid-Tulong” activity to extend help to indigent senior citizens and persons with disability (PWDs) in the remote area of Brgy Asingbalan, Pinukpuk, Kalinga.
From the voluntary contributions of Pinukpuk cops along with the ELCAC fund of their station, they were able to personally hand over food packs containing assorted groceries and other necessities to their 10 beneficiaries identified as Mang Domingo, 86; Aling Jonalyn, 42; Mang Guillermo, 64; Aling Asconsion, 35; Mang Poel, 49; Aling Zenaida, 60; John, 18; Ben, 24; Dexter, 25; and Gaspar, 18.
According to Pinukpuk MPS, it took them half a day to finish the deliveries of the food packs to their beneficiaries, as they visited them one by one in their residences walking by paddy fields and mountainous treks. (PROCOR-PIO)
