2 drug personalities busted in separate buy-bust ops in Baguio City

Two (2) individuals, both identified as Street Level Drug Personalities, were arrested in separate buy-bust operations conducted by Baguio City cops on October 26, 2021.

Based on the reports submitted to PBGEN RONALD OLIVER LEE, PROCOR Regional Director, the suspects were identified as Don Rommel Perez Hieras, 24 years old, and Paulino Sapitula Dy, Jr., a.k.a “Jun,” 55 years old, both listed as Street Level Individuals (SLI).

In Rizal Park, Baguio City, joint operatives of Abanao Police Station (PS7), DEU, and CIU were able to arrest suspect Hieras after he sold one (1) sachet of suspected dried marijuana leaves with an estimated weight of 10 grams and a Standard Drug Price (SDP) amounting to Php 1,200.00 to an operative who acted as a poseur buyer.

Moreover, in the course of his arrest, operatives recovered another three (3) sachets containing suspected dried marijuana leaves weighing more or less 20 grams with SDP of Php 2,400.00 from his possession.

Meanwhile, in Brgy Lourdes Extension, Baguio City, operatives of Camdas Police Station (PS2), along with Naguilian Police Station (PS1), CIU, DEU, and CIDMU, captured suspect Sapitula after he sold to an operative who posed as a buyer one (1) sachet of suspected shabu weighing more or less 1.3 grams with SDP of Php 8,840.00.

The pieces of evidence seized were marked and inventoried on-site in the presence of the suspects and witnessed by DOJ representatives, media representatives, and barangay officials.

Further, the arrested suspects and the confiscated pieces of evidence were brought under the custody of the respective units in charge for proper documentation and disposition while both suspects will now be facing charges for violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
