TESDA Ifugao produced 75 competitive farmers
LISTA, IFUGAO-The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Ifugao congratulated the 75 farmers who graduated the training on Modernized Production of High-Quality Inbred Rice, Seed Certification, and Farm Mechanization in J and E Integrated Farm School.
The successful graduation took place at San Quintin, Alfonso, Lista, Ifugao on October 1, with the 75 local rice farmers and agricultural practitioners from the different barangays of Alfonso, Lista.
The 80-day training was conducted through blended learning delivery mode under the new normal training approach.
Aside from the free skills training they have acquired, the farmer-graduates received Free Training Support Fund, PPE, Health allowance, GSIS insurance policy, and Internet allowance under the Rice Extension Services Program (RESP) of the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (RCEF) benefits.
TESD Senior Specialist Mr. Belino C. Kiso of TESDA Ifugao encouraged the graduates to continue to take other skills training like the Rice Machinery Operations and training on other courses that will benefit them more.
The farmer-graduates are expected to apply their acquired skills on Modernized Production of High-Quality Inbred Rice, Seed Certification, and Farm Mechanization in their own farmsteads and workplace to help them increase their income and competitiveness.
The graduates expressed their gladness and gratitude to TESDA for providing them with essential skills in modern farming that will help them expand their farms’ productivity for food security during the pandemic. (KCC&SNP) ###
