2 nabbed, P1.8M hashish tabs recovered in Cauayan City
CAUAYAN CITY, ISABELA- Live-in partners were caught selling marijuana in a buy-bust operation conducted by joint operatives of Phil. Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Isabela and Cauayan City Police Station on Aug. 5, 2021 in Brgy. San Fermin here and even recovered some P1.8M worth of hashish tablets.
Joel B. Plaza, PDEA-R02 regional director identified the suspects as Teody B Tumolva, 40 years old, and Imary Jane C Manalo, 39 years old, both fish vendors and tobacco farmers and are residents of Brgy. Rang-ay, Cabatuan, Isabela.
He said that the suspects were caught after selling two pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing marijuana leaves worth P1, 200.00 to a PDEA agent who acted as a poseur buyer.
Recovered from Tumolva were six pieces of hashish tablets worth P1.8M wrapped with packaging tape; 1 piece of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected marijuana leaves with fruiting tops; loaded 9mm revolver; and ammunition.
The detained suspects will be charged with Violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and RA 10591 or Illegal Possession of Firearms.# Mae Barangan
