ADD MORE PEOPLE’S SUPPORT FOR THE PASSAGE OF AUTONOMY IN THE CORDILLERA
Lungsod ng Baguio – Ito ang sinabi ni Agriculture Secretary William Dar sa virtual conference na pakikipag-ugnayan ng media sa Cabinet Officer for Regional Development and Security (CORDS) matapos nagsagawa ng isang pinaghalong komperensiya sa Post-SONA upang maikilala ang mga salawing punto ni Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte sa kanyang ika-6 at pangwakas na State of the Nation Address noong Lunes, (July 26, 2021)
Ayon kay Dar, “Ang awtonomiya sa Cordillera ay napaka-mailap, ngunit nakikita ko naman na halos ang bawat Congressman at maging ang local chief executives ay nagkakaisa na isinusulong itong autonomy, ngunit kailangan dapat ay dagdagan pa ng people’s support yun karamihan ng mamamayan ng Cordillera para sa ganun ay papasa na itong autonomy ng Cordillera,”
“It’s a people’s engagement that will pave the way towards this autonomy for the region, we will solidify the further strengths of the Cordillera towards being part of this country there will continue to be a strong contributor development of the economy,”
“In due time soon enough we hold this factors mention ay sana mabigyan na ng awtonomiya ang Cordillera,”
“Hoping all the elements are emplaced to make it possible that we now have the autonomy and the transformation towards an autonomous Cordillera, nariyan pa rin ang tulong ng National government, Cordillera will lead the way in every respect,” pagtatapos ni Dar. Mario Oclaman / FNS
