3 Drug peddlers busted in Benguet

Camp Major Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet-  (July 15, 2021) –  Working on the instructions of the Regional Director, PBGEN RONALD OLIVER LEE to intensify anti-illegal drugs operations in the region,  Benguet cops collared three (3) drug peddlers and seized over Php 40K worth of suspected shabu in separate buy-bust operationS conducted on July 14 and 15.

Citing reports of the different operating units, PBGEN LEE, identified the three suspects as Rham Castillo David a.k.a “Jay”, 26, listed as High-Value Individual (HVI); Allen Cabalona Oblas, 3, listed as HVI and Jerome Delmas Awayan, 30, listed as Street Level Individual (SLI).

In Balili, La Trinidad, David was arrested by joint operatives of PDEU/PIU of Benguet PPO, RID/RPDEU, and PDEA-CAR after he sold six (6) heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet of suspected shabu weighing  5.67 grams with Standard Drug Price (SDP) of Php 38,556.00 to an operative who acted as a poseur-buyer on July 14.

In Pico, La Trinidad, Oblas was arrested by joint elements of La Trinidad MPS & PDEU/PIU of Benguet PPO, RID/RPDEU, PDEG SOU-COR, and PDEA-CAR after he sold one (1) pc heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet of suspected shabu weighing 0.2 grams w/ SDP of Php1,360.00 to an undercover operative on July 14.

Meanwhile, in Guinaoang, Mankayan, suspect Awayan was arrested by joint operatives of Mankayan MPS, PIU/PDEU, PIDMU, Benguet PPO, and PDEA-CAR after he sold one (1) pc heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet of shabu weighing 0.03 grams with SDP of Php 204.00 in July 15.

During the course of his arrest, additional sachet of suspected shabu weighing  0.065 grams with SDP of Php 442.00; boodle money, and cellphone used in the transaction were confiscated from him.

All arrested suspects and seized pieces of evidence were brought to the arresting units while a case for violation of RA 9165 (Comprehensive Drug Act of 2002) is being prepared for filing against them. (PROCOR-PIO)
