GAMBLING DEN RAIDED IN BAGUIO; 132 ARRESTED

CAMP MAJOR BADO DANGWA, LA TRINIDAD, BENGUET- (June 14, 2021) – Joint operatives of PROCOR police and PDEA raided an illegal gambling den which resulted in the arrest of 132 personalities involved in Illegal Gambling at a commercial building in Legarda Road, Baguio City, evening of June 12, 2021.

Prior to the operation, an information was tipped by a concerned individual regarding alleged illegal gambling activities at the said building. Immediately, operatives conducted monitoring and surveillance, then launched the operation upon verifying the received information.

Citing reports from PCOL ELMER E RAGAY, PROCOR Regional Director, PBGEN RONALD OLIVER LEE said that a total of 132 personalities including Table Managers and 124 bettors were arrested during the operation.

Confiscated items from the possession and control of the arrested suspects were the following:

a. Complete set for Drop ball (Salisi);

b. Gambling cards;

c. One set of Flat screen Television for online sabong;

d. Assorted colors of chips;

e. Bet money amounting to Three Hundred Sixty-Three Thousand One Hundred Seventy Pesos (Php 363,170.00);

f. One Toshiba Laptop computer;

g. Pad papers containing numerical figures for their net proceeds;

h. Assorted Chairs/Tables; and

i. Assorted Ballpens

All arrested suspects were Released for Further Investigation (RFI), after they were subjected to inquest proceedings on June 13, 2021. (PROCOR-PIO)
