170 Cordillera COPS finish Basic Internal Security Operations Course

CAMP MAJOR BADO DANGWA, La Trinidad, Benguet – (May 17, 2021) – Police Regional Office Cordillera welcomes the new graduates of Basic Internal Security Operations Course (BISOC) in a simple closing ceremony held at the Masigasig Grandstand in Camp Major Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet morning of May 17, 2021.

After more than three (3) months of rigid training, from February 7 to May 17, 2021, the 170 Cordillera police from the different unit of PROCOR successfully finished and graduated from the course.

Of the 170 police officers, 56 came from Abra PPO, 13 from Apayao PPO, 35 from Baguio City Police Office, 14 from Benguet PPO, 24 from Ifugao PPO, 15 from Mountain Province PPO and 13 personnel from the Regional Mobile Force Batallion 15,

The BISOC graduates comprised of two (2) classes, Class 01-2021 RCOR “MASILIB” Alpha and Bravo, and Class 02-2021 RCOR “MASILAB” Alpha and Bravo.

For the duration of the course, the following police officers were awarded and recognized for their outstanding performance:

The BISOC is a specialized training that prepares police officers to be highly effective and efficient in internal security operations as they will be trained and be equipped in different strategies in combating insurgency, criminality and terrorism. 

In addition, Class 01-2021 “MASILIB” and Class 02-2021 “MASILAB” were the first to include Community Support Program (CSP) in their course design that aims to establish and to protect conflict-affected communities by understanding the root causes of insurgency.

As the keynote speaker, PROCOR Regional Director PBGEN RONALD OLIVER LEE congratulated all the BISOC graduates and encouraged them to further enhance their skills as they undergo more training that will help develop themselves and their career. (PROCOR-PIO)
