Foreign National caught in possession of Illegal Drugs

Camp Bado Major Dangwa, La Trinidad,Benguet –  (April 17, 2021) – A Foreign National student was arrested inside a lodge in Bakakeng Central, Baguio City for possession of illegal drugs during a police response on Friday night, April 16, 2021.

In a report from Baguio City Police Office to the Regional Director PBGEN RONALD OLIVER LEE, the suspect, Bahbry Turki Sultan Mohammed Bahbry, 24, Yemeni National and student in one of the universities in Baguio, was arrested in his room at a lodge where he was renting in Bakakeng Central, Baguio City.

Report revealed that prior to the arrest, the manager of the said Lodge called for police assistance to personnel of Marcos Highway Police Station (BCPO PS-10) regarding a Foreign National who checked in for two days and who refused to pay his bills.

The manager also revealed that the foreigner never left the room nor ordered anything to eat which prompted him to worry and called for assistance.

As the responding personnel arrived, they came upon the manager and the foreigner arguing regarding the latter’s bills, they also saw items of suspected marijuana with an estimated value of P1,200.00 and paraphernalia scattered on the bed, which resulted to the immediate arrest of the suspect.

Onsite inventory of the pieces of evidence was done in the presence of Prosecutor Oliver Prudencio and Barangay kagawad Paulene Guilas of Bakakeng Central, Baguio City. Meanwhile, a case for Violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 is being prepared against the arrested suspect. (PROCOR RPIO with report from Baguio CPO – PIO)
