Two restaurant robbers arrested at Tabuk, Kalinga
Camp Major Bado Dangwa La Trinidad Benguet- (April 17, 2021) – The quick response of Kalinga cops resulted in the arrest of two (2) men after robbing a restaurant in Tabuk City, Kalinga late night of April 14, 2021.
Citing the reports from Kalinga PPO, the Regional Director, PBGEN RONALD O LEE, identified the suspects as Manuel Alucod Tolentino, 24, and Jim Jim Liwliw Garcia, 20, both residents of Barangay Casigayan, Tabuk City, Kalinga.
According to Tabuk City Police Station, a call from the owner of Sandi-uy Restaurant reported that two men entered with a gun and forced their cashier to give the money from their cash box.
Tabuk cops immediately proceeded at Sandi-uy Restaurant, Dagupan Centro. Then, as soon as the police officers arrived at the restaurant, the owner let the them review the CCTV footage of the incident.
Immediately, the responding officers conducted hot pursuit operation wherein they saw two suspicious men that matched the description from the CCTV footage of the restaurant.
Seeing the operatives approaching, the two tried to escape but after a brief chase they were caught.
Recovered from the suspects were one (1) Cal. 45 pistol ARMSCOR, one (1) magazine inserted and loaded with seven (7) live ammos for same Caliber; seven (7) pcs of 20 pesos paper bill; and one (1) genuine 500-peso paper bill.
Positively identified by the owner of Sandi-uy Restaurant, the two (2) suspects were brought to Tabuk City Police Station for proper documentation and disposition.
Charges of robbery with intimidation is being prepared against the two (2) suspects.
