Notorious drug personality finally convicted
Camp Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet โ After nearly two years of trial, a notorious drug personality of Baguio City was found guilty for Violation of Sections 5 and 11 of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The order was issued by HON. JUDGE EMMANUEL CACHO RASING of RTC First Judicial Region, Branch 3, Baguio City dated March 10, 2021.
EDUARDO CABONITALIA BORCE, a.k.a EDDIE, was arrested on July 25, 2019 after a transaction wherein the police poseur buyer was able to buy a sachet of shabu worth P8,000.00 in his home at Lower Quirino Hill, Baguio City which also yielded to the confiscation of four more sachets of shabu weighing .9725 grams.
According to court documents, Borce was sentenced to suffer the penalty of life imprisonment, without eligibility for parole and to pay a fine of P500,000 as well as costs for violation of Section 5, RA 9165; and 12 years and 1 day to 14 years of imprisonment and a fine of P300,000 as well as costs for violating Section 11 of RA 9165.
Moreover, BORCE was previously convicted for two murder cases and had been engaging in illegal drugs business in their barangay. He was identified as one of the ‘sources’ of illegal drugs and allegedly made his home as a drug den for his clients and a place for their illegal drugs transactions.
Further, Borce is set to be transferred to the New Bilibid Prison in Muntinlupa City upon compliance with existing CoViD-19 health protocols. (PROCOR โ PIO with report from Baguio CPO-PIO)
