Strawberry Lane opens, and 30 booths are now serving
LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – (March 3, 2025) The strawberry lane was formally opened with 30 booths displaying the highest-quality products, including a variety of foods, cakes and pastries, wines and juices, jams made from strawberries, souvenir items, and woven clothing.
The opening of the Strawberry Festival 2025 began with a short program and ecumenical service with the theme “Semek La Trinidad” # Love La Trinidad
Mayor Romeo K. Salda led the speech, thanking all the committee members, councilors, and departments for operating the festival, which will last almost the entire month of March.
The Mayor also expressed his gratitude to the 16 barangays for their solidarity in the programs of the festival.
Guest speaker Former La Trinidad Mayor (1979 – 1986) Hilarion L. Pawid also delivered an inspirational message.
All the officials of La Trinidad, Department Heads, happily united for the ribbon cutting, before tasting the two types of strawberries, Sweet Charlie and White Strawberry, which are very popular today during the strawberry festival.
All the officials of La Trinidad extend an invitation to the neighboring provinces of the Cordillera, even to tourists to have fun, and witness the programs that you will surely enjoy while tasting the various products made from strawberries. # (Photos by Mario Oclaman //FNS)
