PROCOR COPS seized illegal drugs, firearms during service of search warrant
Camp Major Bado Dangwa, La Tinidad, Benguet – (March 17, 2021) – Heightened police operations by the different operating units of Police Regional Office Cordillera yielded to the arrest of two suspects for violation of RA10591 or Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition and one for violation or RA9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act on March 12 and 14, 2021.
In Ifugao, a report from the Police Provincial Director PCOL DAVID D MARIANO, revealed that operatives arrested businessman Christopher Rico Yabes after recovering a fire arm in his residence at Brgy Santa Maria, Alfonso Lista, Potia, Ifugao.
Found and confiscated at his residence were one NORINCO Cal.45 mm pistol; one loaded magazine w/ eight live ammos; one empty magazine for Cal. 45; holster and black leather bag.
In Kalinga, an online seller was arrested after a search warrant conducted in her residence at Bulanao, Tabuk City yielded seven sachets of suspected shabu worth Php6,800.00, one improvised tooter and a cellular phone.
According to a report from the Tabuk City Police Station, the suspect is a High Value Individual identified as Myrianne Daligdig Basacoy and will be charged for violation of RA 9165.
Similarly, in Baguio City, operatives arrested a senior citizen, Pablo Fayden Forag after recovering a firearm in his residence at Sunnyside Fairview, Baguio City. Report from the Baguio CPO revealed that operatives seized one Caliber .45 pistol with serial number; one magazine for cal.45; six live ammos and an inside holster in the implementation of a search warrant.
The seized items were inventoried on-site witnessed by Barangay Kagawads Victor Eta-et and Emiliano Flores. Arrested person and pieces of evidence were brought at Baguio CPO- PS1 for proper disposition. ###
