Baguio City Jail Male Dormitory welcomes new City Jail Warden

The BJMP-CAR held a turn-over ceremony today, December 27, 2024, at the Baguio City Jail Multi-purpose Hall to officially welcome JCINSP JOHN WAYLAND M LAPON as the new City Jail Warden of the Baguio City Jail Male Dormitory. 

JCINSP LAPON brings fresh energy and a strong commitment to improving the lives of Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL). As the new warden, he aims to continue and expand programs that promote welfare and development within the facility. 

He takes over from JSUPT APRIL ROSE WANDAG-AYANGWA, who is moving up to her new role as Regional Chief of Directorial Staff. During the event, JSUPT AYANGWA was commended for her hard work and dedication, leaving behind a legacy of positive change for the PDL and numerous accolades for the jail unit under her leadership. 

The ceremony marks an exciting new chapter for the Baguio City Jail Male Dormitory, with JCINSP LAPON ready to lead the facility to new achievements. (PR)
