HSAC holds a one-day seminar on the Legal Dimensions of Human Settlements in Isabela

CAUAYAN CITY, Isabela—The Human Settlements Adjudication Commission-Regional Adjudication Branch II conducted a one-day seminar titled “Exploring the Legal Dimensions of Human Settlements” at Maximillian Hotel in this city on Nov. 26, 2024. It was attended by lawyers, law students, real estate developers, government social housing agencies, and media practitioners.
Atty. Mona Liza D. Abibico, Chief Regional Adjudicator, said in an ambush interview that they conducted the activity to disseminate information regarding their duties as a purely quasi-judicial body tasked to adjudicate disputes involving real estate developments, homeowners’ associations, and appeals from decisions of local and regional planning and zoning bodies.
HSAC is guided by the Constitutional provision that affords all persons the right to a speedy disposition of their cases before all judicial, quasi-judicial or administrative bodies.
Atty. Eric John Dilag, Attorney V/Head of Legal Division, and Atty. Shiela T. Tan, Attorney IV/ Assistant Division Chief, Legal Division graced the activity as lecturers.
Atty. Raul V. Babaran (Ret.), the Dean of Isabela State University-College of Law, along with Atty. Gil P. Viloria and Atty. Angelito Emmanuel V. Ramirez from the Public Attorney’s Office in Cauayan City, participated as esteemed members of the audience at the event.
HSAC has been actively conducting the same activity in different municipalities and cities of Region 2 to effectively educate the public regarding the functions of their office. # Mae Barangan
