Two gas stations in the city were issued notices of violation last Nov. 5, 2024, due to violation of the business permit, road right-of-way and parking requirements, and various safety and sanitation issues.

Personnel of the Permits and Licensing Division (PLD), Public Order and Safety Division (POSD), and City Environment and Parks Management Office (CEPMO) served the NOVs after inspecting the fuel stations located at Marcos Highway and Kennon Road and confirming violations

The team found the station at Marcos Highway closed but with fuel traces and discarded fuel filters on the ground proving that it had been operating.

PLD Chief Allan Abayao said both establishments were advised to cease operations because they do not have business permits and environmental clearances to ensure the safety of their operations.

The owners were also advised to relocate because they are located within the road right of way. They must also comply with the parking and operational infrastructures required of fuel stations. – APR/NCO Photos by Neil Clark Ongchangco
