Kick-off program for the 124th Foundation Anniversary of Benguet and Adivay Festival 2024

The Police Regional Office Cordillera Administrative Region (PRO-CAR) joins the province of Benguet in their kick-off program for the 124th Foundation Anniversary of Benguet and Adivay Festival 2024 held at the Provincial Capitol, Brgy. Poblacion, La Trinidad, Benguet on November 5, 2024.

The event was attended by PBGEN ROGELIO Z RAYMUNDO, JR, Deputy Regional Director for Administration, along with PCOL BYRON B TEGUI-IN, Chief of the Regional Community Affairs and Development Division; PCOL JOSEPH P BAYONGASAN, Provincial Director of Benguet Police Provincial Office; PLTCOL BENSON B MACLI-ING, Chief of Police of La Trinidad Municipal Police Station; and PLTCOL DOMINADOR D MAURICIO, Force Commander of 2nd Benguet Provincial Mobile Force Company.

This year’s Adivay celebration, themed “Embracing our Heritage, Co-creating a Healthier Benguet,” features traditional activities and a fashion show highlighting designs by local talents from the 13 municipalities of Benguet to showcase their exquisite handwoven cloth (inabel) creations. The celebration not only promotes Benguet’s tourist attractions but also honors the community’s dedication to preserving the rich cultural heritage of the province.

To support the smooth conduct of the celebration, PRO-CAR cops have implemented security measures to maintain peace and order throughout the month-long event. These efforts include setting up police assistance desks, deploying personnel to manage traffic flow and assist motorists, and increasing police presence in areas where crowds are expected to gather.
