World Championship of Performing Arts winner cited

City officials recently congratulated and commended Aiken Eugenriq S. Ramos for winning medals in the World Championship of Performing Arts (WCOPA) held in Long Beach, California, United States of America last June 28 to July 6, 2024.

In a resolution, city legislators stated that Ramos is an inspiration for aspiring performing artists and individuals striving for excellence in their respective endeavors.

Earlier, Ramos displayed exceptional dedication, perseverance and prowess in the realm of performing arts and that his commitment to excellence and tireless training resulted in a momentous victory earning the gold in rap vocals and silver in vocal original composition, acting in TV and vocals with accompaniment in the said competition.

The council claimed that his recent achievement in the world arena of performing arts not only showcased his personal excellence but also brought pride to the city which is a Creative City for Crafts and Folk Arts as previously declared by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

The 20-year old performer is a resident of barangay MRR Queen of Peace and showed his competitors that home-grown talents can shine in the global arena of performing arts.
