𝗡𝗔𝗣𝗜𝗡𝗢 𝗖𝗢𝗣𝗦 𝗢𝗙 𝗕𝗖𝗣𝗢 𝗔𝗥𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗧 𝗙𝗜𝗩𝗘 𝗪𝗔𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗗 𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗢𝗡𝗦 𝗜𝗡 𝗔 𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗢𝗣𝗦
Two individuals listed as Top Most Wanted Persons (TMWP) and three other wanted personalities were arrested following the intensified manhunt operations conducted by PRO-CAR Cops in the different barangays of Baguio City on July 8, 2024.
According to reports submitted to PRO-CAR Regional Director PBGEN DAVID K PEREDO, JR, the manhunt operations resulted in the arrest of a 27-year-old male identified as No. 1 TMWP at the Station Level and No. 3 TMWP at the City Level in Brgy. Tiptop, Ambuklao Road. The suspect was apprehended by joint operatives of the different units of Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) and Regional Intelligence Unit (RIU)-14 after the execution of an arrest warrant for violation of statutory rape against a 14-year-old female minor on May 2022.
Additionally, in Brgy. Honeymoon Road, a 24-year-old male listed as No. 4 TMWP-Regional Level was arrested by joint operatives of BCPO-CIU, Regional Intelligence Division PRO-CAR, and PS6 following the implementation of a warrant of arrest for Statutory Rape (2 Counts) against a 13-year-old female minor on April 2024.
Further, in Brgy. Lower Rock Quarry, a 52-year-old male was arrested by joint operatives of Baguio CPO CIU, Regional Intelligence Unit-14, and Asingan Municipal Police Station after the implementation of a warrant of arrest for Violation of Qualified Statutory Rape against an 11-year-old female minor on January 2024.
Meanwhile, two members of the Communist Terrorist Group, identified as a 47-year-old male and a 42-year-old female, were arrested by joint operatives of BCPO and Police Regional Office-8after the execution of warrants for crimes under the Anti-Terrorism Act of 2020 (R.A 11479) and Arson. Despite evading capture in the city for four months, authorities successfully tracked them down in Brgy. Guisad and Brgy. Upper Quirino-Magsaysay, leading to their immediate arrest.
