PRO-CAR’s INTENSIFIED MANHUNT OPS YIELD SIX WANTED PERSONS
Joint efforts of the Police Regional Office Cordillera Administrative Region (PRO-CAR) and other PNP units led to the arrest of six wanted individuals in a series of manhunt operations conducted on July 8, 2024.
In Benguet, a 28-year-old male, listed as the No. 10 Most Wanted Person at the Regional level in the 3rd Quarter CY 2024 for the crime of Robbery with Homicide in Northern Samar, Visayas by joint operatives from the different units of Benguet Police Provincial Office (PPO), Baguio City Police Office (BCPO), Regional Intelligence Unit 14 (RIU-14), Regional Intelligence Division (RID), Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), and Quezon City Police District (QCPD). The arrest followed eight months of surveillance and a civilian tip-off.
Simultaneously, in Mountain Province, a 33-year-old male listed as the No. 2 Municipal Most Wanted Person and a 35-year-old male listed as the No. 1 Municipal Most Wanted Person were arrested in a joint operation conducted by the different units of Mountain Province PPO, RID, RIU-14, and RMFB-15. Both were apprehended pursuant to warrants issued for charges related to Robbery.
In Brgy. San Ramon West, Manabo, Abra, another 33-year-old male, identified as the No. 1 Municipal Most Wanted Person was arrested by operatives from Manabo MPS and Bucay MPS of Abra PPO for charges involving three counts of Acts of Lasciviousness.
Additionally, another manhunt operation conducted in La Trinidad, Benguet, resulted in the arrest of a 33-year-old male for violations of RA 9262 (Violence Against Women and Their Children). This operation was conducted jointly by La Trinidad MPS, PIU, PIDMU of Benguet PPO, and RID-CAR.
Similarly, in Brgy. Bulanao, Kalinga, the joint efforts of the 1st Kalinga Provincial Mobile Force Company, PIU, Tabuk City Police Station, and Marcos Highway Police Station of BCPO led to the arrest of a 23-year-old male for the same violation of RA 9262.
All suspects were brought to the custody of their respective operating units for documentation and proper disposition.
PRO-CAR Regional Director, PBGEN DAVID K PEREDO, JR, lauded the operatives for their efforts and reiterated PRO-CAR’s commitment to ensuring public safety through the implementation of intensified anti-criminality campaigns.
