Intellectual Property roadshow and IP Helpdesk in Marinduque launched as part of MSMEs Development Week
BOAC, Marinduque – Marinduque creatives, innovators, and changemakers gathered for the Intellectual Property roadshow in Marinduque on July 9 at Tahanan sa Isok with Intellectual Property Philippines (IPOPHL). In celebration of the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Development Week, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Marinduque spearheaded the launching of the IP Helpdesk in the province.
IPOPHL’s Shay Coronacion and Engr. Emmanuel Mendoza took turns introducing to artists, writers, musicians, dancers, and creative individuals learning about their rights and protection of their original works. According to the DTI Marinduque’s pubmats, “Your talents deserve the best protection, and understanding your intellectual property rights is the first step.”
Moreover, DTI MIMAROPA officially turned over to Mariduque State University the shared service facilities for the food testing center on their main campus. Based on DTI MMAROPA, MarSU received P2,000,000 worth of equipment for food analysis and storage along with other mechanical equipment. DTI regional office director Rudy Mariposque and his counterpart DTI Provincial Director Dr. Roniel Macatol with MarSU key officials led the turn-over ceremonies.
Likewise, the DTI regional and provincial director also graced the launching of the IP Helpdesk and Intellectual Roadshow in Marinduque. The activity is also in line with the celebration of National MSME Week. (PR)
