CAUAYAN CITY TO HOST PCCI-NL BUSINESS CONFERENCE
CAUAYAN CITY, Isabela– The Local City Government of Cauayan represented by Mayor Ceasar S. Dy, Jr. inked a Memorandum of Agreement with the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industries- Northern Luzon (PCCI-NL) officials headed by the Area Vice President, Atty. Maria Amalia Tiglao-Cayanan on June 3, 2024, for the hosting of the upcoming 33rd North Luzon Area Business Conference (NLABC) dubbed “Empowering North Luzon for Sustainable Future”
In a press conference held at the Bamboo Hall inside the city hall, Mr. Gary Ka Hong U. Chong, the regional governor of PCCI-Region 2 thanked the Provincial Government of Isabela especially Cauayan City for hosting the event. He said that the plenary would be advantageous to the attendees as experts will deliver lectures and workshops. The plenary topics are Empowering Enterprises Through Digital Connectivity; Harnessing Technology for Sustainable Agriculture and Food Security; Unveiling Investment and Business Opportunities in North Luzon; and Navigating the Future of Responsible Tourism.
Mr. Markson Louie S. Tan, the conference director and the president of PCCI-Southern Isabela said the activity will be one of the biggest convergences in Northern Luzon.
On the other hand, Mayor Dy eyes new potential businesses as the convention will link the consumers, the local products, and the experts. “This opens business chances sa mga Cauayeños and everyone in Region 2,” Dy said. He also hopes that new investors will signify a willingness to introduce innovations to prevent the wastage of products produced by local farmers.
The 33rd NLABC will be held on Aug. 8-9 at the Isabela Convention Center (ICON) in Barangay San Fermin.# Mae Barangan // FNS
