PMA graduating cadet recognized anew

City officials recently congratulated and commended cadet first class Samuel A. Gloria as among the top performing cadets of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) Bagong Sinag Class of 2024.

In a resolution, local legislators stated that the city government recognizes and commends the exemplary achievement and performance of cadets of the PMA as they manifest that the city is really the education center of the north.

Earlier, the PM announced that the Bagong Sinag Class of 2024 composed of some 278 male and female cadets will be graduating on Saturday, May 18, 2024 during the commencement exercises that will be attended by ranking officials of the Philippine government.

Among the top performing graduating cadets include four Cordillerans who excelled in their respective fields, and one of them is cadet first class Samuel A. Gloria from Baguio City who will be receiving the Chief Justice Saber, an award given to the PMA graduating cadet for excelling in military law courses.

The body claimed that a cadet reflects the values and principles of the PMA being Asia’s premier military training institution and producing top military graduates through the years.

No less than President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. will be gracing the said graduation rites and will serve as the guest of honor and speaker during Saturday’s commencement exercises and will be conferring to the top graduating cadet the coveted Presidential Saber.
