DILG’s most wanted Ex-Cop captured after 15 years in hiding

BAGUIO CITY – (March 3, 2021) – A dismissed police officer who is now included in the list of the Department of the Interior and Local Government’s (DILG) most wanted personality was captured yesterday, March 2, 2021 after 15 years of hiding from the law.

According to the report of PCOL ALLEN RAE F. CO, BCPO City Director, the suspect  identified as Ronald Salcedo Olarte was arrested by combined operatives of Baguio City Police Office and Batangas PPO at Balintawak Road, Lipa City, Batangas.

OLARTE was accused for Incestuous Rape docketed under Criminal Case No. 255976-R issued by HON. JUDGE ILUMINADA P CABATO of RTC Branch 59, Baguio City.

Reports also revealed that he was Dropped from the Roll of the PNP in February 2006 and is the suspect in raping her minor daughter on January 1, of the same year in Baguio City.

Further, the suspect is listed in the DILG’s Top Most Wanted Person of Cordillera Administrative Region with monetary reward of Php 135,000.00 based on DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2021-022.

Olarte is currently under the custody of Lipa City Police Station prior to presentation to the issuing court in Baguio City. ###
