City approves more barangay ordinances, budgets

Mayor Benjamin Magalong signed separate city council measures granting favorable review to two barangay ordinances pursuant to pertinent provisions of the Local Government Code of 1991.

Resolution no. 785, series of 2023, grants favorable review to ordinance no. 1, series of 2022, of Upper General Luna barangay while resolution no. 787, series of 2023, does the same for ordinance no. 3, series of 2023, of Lucnab barangay.

The local legislature’s committee on appropriations and finance, cluster B, recommended giving review of said barangay ordinances considering that their enactment passed the formal and substantial requirements of an ordinance.

Meanwhile, the Mayor also ratified city council resolution no. 786, series of 2023, granting favorable review to the annual and supplemental budgets of Happy Homes Old Lucban, Camp 7 and SLU-SVP barangays.

The august body’s committee on appropriations and finance, cluster A, recommended giving a favorable review to said barangay budgets for fiscal year 2023.

The measure orders the return of the barangay budgets to the City Budget Office for implementation. – Gaby B. Keith
