HIGH VALUE DRUG PERSONALLY BUSTED IN BENGUET

A high-value drug personality was arrested, and more than P10K worth of shabu was seized in a buy-bust operation conducted by PRO Cordillera cops in Brgy Beckel, La Trinidad, Benguet on March 15, 2024.

Based on the report submitted to PRO Cordillera Regional Director, PBGEN DAVID K PEREDO, JR, the arrested suspect was identified as a 44-year-old male taxi driver, resident of Rimando Road, Honeymoon Brgy, Baguio City, and listed as a High-Value Individual.

The same report disclosed that the male suspect was arrested by the joint operatives of the Regional Drug Enforcement Unit, Regional Intelligence Division, La Trinidad Municipal Police Station (MPS), PNP Drug Enforcement Group-Cordillera, and Regional Intelligence Unit 14 after he sold one sachet of suspected shabu weighing more or less (MOL) one gram with a Standard Drug Price (SDP) of Php6,800.00 to an operative who acted as a poseur buyer.

In the course of his arrest, another two sachets of suspected shabu weighing MOL 0.5 grams with SDP of Php3,400.00 were recovered from his possession.

The markings and inventory of the pieces of evidence recovered were conducted on-site in the presence of media representative, Mr. Darius Bajo, and Barangay Kagawad of Beckel Central, Mr. Fred Aniban.

The arrested suspect and confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to La Trinidad MPS for documentation and proper disposition.

The suspect will be facing charges for violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (PRO CORDILLERA PIO / FILE PHOTOS)
