TEAM ENERGY TRAINING CENTER FOR BENECO.

Team Energy turned over to BENECO a P10 million building today to be used by the electric cooperative as a training center. The structure, located at Barangay Alapang, La Trinidad, Benguet, is the first phase of what BENECO envisions as a top training center outside of the National Electrification Administration (NEA). The team donated the cost to construct the building through Team Foundation, the company’s arm for the firm’s corporate social responsibility programs. “Walang forever” became a lighthearted ribbing of today’s turnover as a Team’s 20-year power supply contract with BENECO will expire this month. Leading the turnover ceremony was Sonny Malacca, Team asst. vice pres., and Ma. Teresa Lopez, Team Foundation chair. Receiving the turnover were BENECO officials led by Engr. Melchor Licoben, general manager, and Steve Cating, Task Force chairperson. (LSI)
