Project: LIGHT UP THE VILLAGES – WGC PH

The Women of Global Change Philippine Chapter recently concluded its first outreach event this week, highlighting its Project LUV (Light Up the Villages). Project LUV is committed to creating positive change through the provision of solar lights, with a focus on environmental sustainability and community empowerment.

The recently concluded event, held on January 24, saw the distribution of 14 solar light kits and groceries to chosen beneficiaries in Brgy Happy Hallow, Baguio City. This significant milestone was followed by a Circular Economy Workshop on January 25. The success of these events is attributed to the invaluable support extended by the Local Government of Baguio City, particularly the Barangay, the special assistance of Vice Mayor Faustino Olawan, the Office of the City IPMR, as well as the generous support from ONJON IVADOY ASSOCIATION, INC.

Their collaboration with WGC PH members and volunteers made it possible to positively impact the lives of the community members and further the goals of Project LUV.
