Inventory of city public market stalls; validation of relocated vendors submitted
A city council measure requiring the City Treasury Office to submit to the local legislature a complete detailed data of all stalls in the Baguio City Public Market including its historical background of ownership, has been complied with.
This was revealed in a status report submitted to Vice Mayor Faustino Olowan, Dec. 19, 2023, on the legislative monitoring and evaluation of resolution no. 65, series of 2022.
It disclosed that city treasurer Alex Cabarrubias, on Dec. 14, last year, has submitted an inventory of market stalls in the Baguio City Public Market and validation of relocated vendors after the fire that occurred on March 11, 2024 (Block III).
He also gave a comparative monitoring of affected stall occupants for Block III (before and after the fire incident).
The status report was submitted by local legislative staff asst. III Nechel Ocasion and noted by local legislative staff officer V Protacio Tangalin Jr., with city council secretary Brenner Bengwayan recommending approval. – Gaby B. Keith
