PRO COR RD PEREDO JR led the Ceremonial Shoot for the 2nd PRO Cor Marksmanship Enhancement and Shoot for a Cause 2023
PRO Cordillera Regional Director, PBGEN DAVID K PEREDO, JR, led the Ceremonial Shoot for the 2nd PRO Cordillera Marksmanship Enhancement and Shoot for a Cause 2023 held at the PRO Cordillera Firing Range, Camp Major Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet on December 12, 2023.
The said activity was organized by the Regional Learning and Doctrine Development Division and was attended by other members of the Command Group, Regional Staff, and personnel from the Regional Headquarters.
The four-day event, scheduled from December 14 to 17, 2023, aims not only to promote camaraderie, competence, professionalism, and responsible gun ownership among PNP personnel and civilian gun enthusiasts but also to help police officers in the Cordillera become professional marksmen.
PRO Cordillera conduct Marksmanship Enhancement and Shoot for a Cause 2023 to ensure that all PNP personnel are familiar and proficient with their issued firearms and that all will be effective in performing their duties and responsibilities. Also, to promote responsible gun ownership and train policemen on gun safety handling and shooting proficiency.
In his message, PBGEN PEREDO, JR emphasized the 3 A’s, which stand for AWARENESS means we should be aware of our area, on our surroundings; ALERTNESS means if you are aware of what is happening, maging alerto ka, bago maging mangyare ang lahat, you are prepared; and ADJUSTMENT or ACTION which means every ready battery.
“In terms of our duties and responsibilities, we should not forget that always we are a target. Target tayo kaya we should be aware, and with our firearms,
ayan din ang isang interest ng mga gumagawa ng kalokohan, so its a good thing that we are doing this Marksmanship Enhancement Training. As a whole, Your gun is your wife, wherever you are you should carry your gun, Your gun is your wife, alagaan mo dahil pag hindi mu yan inaalagaan ikaw ang bibiktimain, he added.
