PRO CORDILLERA TOP COP INAUGURATES NEW TINGLAYAN MPS BUILDING

PRO Cordillera Regional Director, PBGEN DAVID K PEREDO, JR, graced the blessing and inauguration of the newly constructed Tinglayan Municipal Police Station (MPS) building held at Poblacion, Tinglayan, Kalinga, on November 21, 2023.

PBGEN PEREDO, JR, was accompanied by the Chief Regional Operations Division, PCOL JEREMIAS O OYAWON; the Chief Regional Logistic and Research Development Division, PCOL REGUEL B SANTAMARIA; and the Chief Regional Engineering Unit, PLTCOL DEAN AQUISAN.

Other key officers present during the ceremony were: Officer-in-Charge of Kalinga Police Provincial Office (PPO), PCOL FREDDIE M LAZONA; Chief of Police (COP) of Tabuk City Police Station, PLTCOL JOLLY NGAYA-AN; Acting COP of Lubuagan MPS, PCPT DINDO B SALMING; Acting COP of Tinglayan MPS, PCPT JUDYMAR P ASSAYCO; and other heads of offices of different units of Kalinga PPO.

Also present to witness the ceremony were Congressman Allen Jesse Mangaoang, represented by Mr. Reggie Wakas; and Governor James Edduba, represented by Ret. PLTCOL JOHNNY D MAYMAYA; the Mayor of Tinglayan, Hon. Atty. Sacrament S. Gumilab, vice mayor of Tinglayan, Hon. Rogelio Tambalong; Sanguniang Bayan of Tinglayan, Hon. Miguel Atumpa and Hon. Johnny Tiwang.

As the highlight of the ceremony, the District Engineer of the Department of Public Works and Highways of the Upper Kalinga District Engineering Office, Engr. Teodoro A. Owek led the turnover of the symbolic key of the new Tinglayan MPS building to PBGEN PEREDO, JR, and PCPT ASSAYCO, followed by the ribbon-cutting and the unveiling of commemorative markers. Subsequently, the 7th Day Adventist, Pastor Conrado W. Bagtang, officiated the blessing of the new MPS.

As the guest of honor and speaker, PBGEN PEREDO, JR, expressed his gratitude and support to all the Local Government Units in the province for their unending and undying support of the police officers of the Kalinga PPO. He also reminded the Lumin-awa cops to maintain the excellent condition of the new building.

The new Tinglayan MPS is the result of the collaborative effort of the PNP and DPWH, which cost more than PHP 7 million, while the 410-square-meter lot was donated by the Local Chief Executives of Tinglayan. (PRO CORDILLERA-PIO / File photos)
