PRO CORDILLERA CELEBRATES THE 29th NATIONAL CRIME PREVENTION WEEK BY AWARDING DESERVING UNITS

The Police Regional Office Cordillera (PRO Cordillera) culminated the 29th National Crime Prevention Week by giving recognition to deserving units in a ceremony held at Camp Major Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet, on September 11, 2023.

PRO Cordillera Regional Director PBGEN DAVID K PEREDO, JR., and Hon. Adrian Carlos A. Bersamin, the Assistant Secretary, Office of the Executive Secretary to the President, led the distribution of PNP medals and certificates to the awardees.

For their accomplishments in the implementation of their best practices in community and service-oriented policing systems, which led their unit to be recognized during the celebration of NAPOLCOM CAR’s 29th National Crime Prevention Week, and their relentless efforts in collaboration with their local chief executive and the community in the implementation of the CSOP system, which greatly contributed to the maintenance of peace and order and public safety in the community, a Medalya ng Kasanayan (PNP Efficiency Medal) and certificates of recognition were awarded to:

-Bakun Municipal Police Station (MPS) received by PCPT JONATHAN B PALABAY, Acting COP of Bakun MPS;

-Benguet Police Provincial Office (PPO) received by PCOL DAMIAN D OLSIM, Provincial Director (PD) of Benguet PPO;

-Abra PPO received by PCOL FROILAND B LOPEZ, PD of Abra PPO; and

-Ifugao PPO was received by PCOL DAVY VICENTE M LIMMOMG, PD of Ifugao PPO.

Further, for demonstrating meaningful performance of duty in the implementation of their crime prevention initiatives shown on their crime prevention story entitled “BEHIND the Uniform, A Medalya ng Kasanayan and certificate of recognition was presented to Bangued MPS and was received by PMAJ ALLAN GLENN B DARIA, the acting COP of Bangued MPS.

A similar award was also given to Buguias MPS for demonstrating an excellent performance of duty in the implementation of their crime prevention initiatives, as shown in their crime prevention story entitled “EVERY AFTER STORM, THERE’S A RAINBOW” which significantly promotes awareness of the role of the PNP in Crime Prevention, with this accomplishment, personnel of Buguias MPS have earned credit not only for their unit but also for the PRO CORDILLERA, and it was received by PCPT GILBERT O ANSELMO, Acting COP of Buguias MPS.

Meanwhile, for their indispensable effort contributed during the implementation of the seven-day simultaneous marijuana eradication operation dubbed as Oplan “HERODOTUS 3” which resulted in the destruction of 693, 615 pieces of Fully-grown Marijuana Plants with a total Standard Drug Price of Php 149, 218,092.00 in Kalinga and Benguet, a certificate of appreciation was presented to:

-The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-CAR, received by Dir. JULIUS M PADERES, Regional Director of PDEA-CAR;

-Military Intelligence Group 14, received by Lieutenant Colonel ROSS CABARLIZA, the Chief Military Intelligence Group 14;

-National Intelligence Coordinating Agency-CAR, received by Brigadier General CAMILO F BALUTAN; and
