PRO COR RD PEREDO JR. visited some schools in Benguet for Balik Eskwela or opening of classes
To ensure the security and safety of the public during the Balik Eskwela or the opening of classes, PRO Cordillera Regional Director, PBGEN DAVID K PEREDO JR, visited the La Trinidad Central School in Poblacion and Benguet National High School in Wangal, La Trinidad, Benguet on August 29, 2023.
The Regional Director was accompanied by PCOL RONALD V GAYO, the Deputy Regional Director for Operations (DRDO), PCOL DAMIAN D OLSIM, the Provincial Director of Benguet Police Provincial Office (PPO), PLTCOL DENVER P GUZMAN, the Chief of the Provincial Operations Management Unit (POMU) of Benguet PPO, and PMAJ LEONARD A DANASEN, the Acting Chief of Police of La Trinidad Municipal Police Station (MPS).
During the visit, PBGEN PEREDO JR. encouraged learners to avoid bad vices, do well in their studies, and persevere to become successful.
As pre-emptive measures, PBGEN PEREDOJR. already directed unit commanders to intensify law enforcement activities at schools, transportation hubs, and places of convergence; conduct traffic direction and control for motorists; assist pedestrians, especially students crossing the road; and establish Police Assistance Desks (PADs) near the entrance gate of school campuses.
Further, the Regional Director also gave his assurance that PRO Cordillera will continue to support the school activities and ensure that police officers will be deployed on school premises. (PRO CORDILLERA-PIO / File Photos)
