PROCOR RD PEREDO JR ATTEND 1ST REGIONAL JOINT SECURITY CONTROL CENTER COMMAND CONFERENCE

In preparation for the forthcoming Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) 2023, PROCOR Regional Director, PBGEN DAVID K PEREDO, JR., attended the 1st Regional Joint Security Control Center Command Conference held at COMELEC Compound, Gov. Pack Road, Baguio City on August 1, 2023.

For PROCOR, present with the Regional Director were PCOL RONALD GAYO, the Deputy Regional Director for Operations (DRDO); PCOL JAMES MANGILI, the Chief of the Regional Operations Division (ROD); PCOL FREDDIE LAZONA, the Chief of the Regional Intelligence Division (RID); PCOL BYRON TEGUI-IN, the Chief of the Regional Community Affairs and Development Division (RCADD); PCOL STEPHEN BUDONG, the Chief of the Regional Legal Service (RLS); PCOL FRANCISCO B BULWAYAN, JR., the City Director of Baguio City Police Office (BCPO); PCOL CHARLES DOMALLIG, the Provincial Director of Kalinga Police Provincial Office (PPO); PCOL SIBLY DAWIGUEY JR., the Provincial Director of Mt. Province PPO; PLTCOL RODELIO OLSIM, the Officer-in-Charge of the Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division (RIDMD); and PLTCOL CAROLINA LACUATA, the Chief of the Regional Public Information Office (RPIO).

Other key personalities present were MGEN AUDREY PASIA, the Commander of the Philippine Army’s 5th Infantry Division (ID); Atty. Julius Torres, the Regional Director of the Commission on Elections-Cordillera (COMELEC); Atty. Vanessa Roncal, the Assistant Regional Director of COMELEC-Cordillera; representatives from the different Provincial Joint Security Control Center (PJSCC); and staff from the National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA), Department of Interior and Local Government Unit (DILG), and Philippine Information Agency (PIA).

Discussed during the conference were the initial assessment reports on peace and order and security concerns in the region, the roadmap of election preparations, and the internal security situations that may affect the 2023 BSKE.

Other topics discussed were the orientation on recent issues regarding the gun ban, the establishment of checkpoints, and the transfer of officers and employees to the civil service.

PBGEN PEREDO JR. in his message, assured the public that PROCOR is also taking preparatory measures to ensure all police officers are ready to provide services before, during, and after the elections. He added that PROCOR will intensify the conduct of information operations and other police operations to ensure a safe, orderly, and credible BSKE 2023. (PRO COR-PIO / File Photos)
