160 Cordillera COPS to undergo Basic Internal Security Operations Course

CAMP MAJOR BADO DANGWA, La Trinidad, Benguet – Police Regional Office Cordillera formally opened the Basic Internal Security Operations Course (BISOC) in a joint opening ceremony held at Philex Mines, Itogon, Benguet in the morning of February 7, 2021.

A total of 160 police from the different Police Provincial Offices and City Police Office in the Cordillera comprised the BISOC Class-1 A&B and Class-2 A&B 2021 RCOR.

The Basic Internal Security Operations Course is a three-month rigid training that prepares police officers to be efficient in internal security operations. It is a PNP specialized training that aims to equip and train police personnel on the different tactics and strategies in combat operations, develop maneuver skills and instill combat standard operating procedures during anti-insurgency operations, anti-criminality and anti-terrorism. It prepares them to be highly effective and efficient in their police functions even under extreme pressure while adhering to the PNP Human-Rights Based Policing (HRBP).

The ceremony was graced by the Director of PNP Training Service, PBGEN BERNARD M BANAC, as the guest of honor and speaker.

In his speech, PBGEN BANAC gave a few guidelines to the trainees to serve as their guide during the course of their training. He also reiterated that the PNP Training Service continues to level-up all training programs to be able to produce a highly capable and effective police officers instilled with discipline, integrity, and proper work ethics required in becoming professional public servants.
