City okays seven more SK barangay budgets

Mayor Benjamin Magalong signed two city council measures granting favorable reviews to the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) budgets of seven barangays in the Summer Capital for fiscal year 2023 pursuant to pertinent provisions of the Local Government Code of 1991, as amended.

Resolution no. 230, series of 2023, grants favorable review to the SK budgets of Imelda Marcos, Happy Hallow, Poliwes, Burnham-Legarda, Camp 8 and Brookspoint barangays while resolution no. 240, series of 2023 does the same for the SK budget of Pinsao Pilot Project barangay.

The City Budget Officer forwarded the said preliminary reviewed annual SK barangay budgets to the local legislature for its review.

The august body’s committee on youth welfare and sports development, in its endorsements issued separately, recommended favorable review of the SK barangay budgets.

Both approved resolutions direct the return of the SK barangay budgets for fiscal year 2023 returned to the City Budget Office for implementation. – Gaby B. Keith
