E-library to be built in Bedbed National High School through the partnership with the Rotary Club of La Trinidad, Benguet
BAGUIO CITY – The Rotary Club of La Trinidad welcomes his Excellency Poland Ambassador to the Philippines Jaroslaw Szczepankiewics and Her Excellency Minister Anna Krzak-Danel to visit the Tam-Awan Village last February 24, 2023.
In an interview with OIC School Head-Bedbed National High School Caroline C. Ferrer, “Regarding the E-Library project, I asked Ma’am Evangeline Ariaga, President of the Rotary Club of La Trinidad, and she approved of our proposal that it will be built somewhere in our school of Mankayan District which is Bedbed National High School and we are lucky I’m very much happy too that because of that E-library, our learners would have at least somewhat an advance library and a mountainous part of Benguet.
We already submitted our proposal about the project and if with God’s permission and of course the officers behind it maybe it will turn into reality that the E-library of the Polish Government would be built somewhere in Bedbed National High School.
The community library is a library open to all so, regardless of what school you are or what grade level you are or even if you are in college you can access the library, a community library composed of books and material that spans from pre-school up to college degree or even master’s degree, while the hybrid library is the combination of electronic and internet-based materials and the same time yun hardbound books these are mostly for children who are in the pre-school up to the grade school, primary school level kasi they are more interested to read when it is hardbound with pictures and something they can touch and that is the trust of Embassy of Poland where they would like to bring all of this educational materials including laptops, computers and internet connectivity in remotes part of the country to help a bridge the gap in our education system because they are acknowledge that our country is badly in need of all of these materials, especially after the pandemic we’ve realized the importance of digital library,”
“The digitalization will come in phases, first it will be established or incorporated material that has been bought by the embassy, binili na nila yun mga materials, copyrighted and then naka install na yun sa mga laptops so, that’s the first phase because its impossible to put the digital library na ganun na wala naman internet .
The second phase is when all of these are better establish where the embassy is looking into digitization with internet connectivity so, hopefully, we get to that point where remotes in part of the country will be able to access internet connection, ang nakikita naman natin with the partnership with other satellite companies that offer internet connection so, and the embassy is willing to support,”
“Part of the ocular visits will be to determine what is needed as explained by the ambassador so, they’re not limiting the resources that they can provide what they want to see is to find out what is needed, ayaw nila magsayang ng resources tapos hindi naman pala kailangan,” Arseniuk concluded.
The Poland Ambassador to the Philippines Jaroslaw Szcenpankiewics is planning to construct the hybrid library in Sagada two projects implemented the Community Library in partnership with the Polish Embassy and the Economic Zone in Suyo, Ilocos Sur but it’s not proclaimed yet it is in progress for submission to the office of the President for signature. The company locators are in Polish Companies.
The Economic Growth Project will boost the living of the farmers and the Educational status of the community.
