RAB in Action – PANAGBENGA 2023
BAGUIO CITY – The Rehabilitation Action for Baguio (RAB) Volunteers participated in cleaning the environment after the two-day Grand Street dancing and Grand Float parade were held on February 25 to 26, (Saturday and Sunday).
In a statement from RAB Volunteer chair Oscar Carbonell, “After a 3-year hiatus, Panagbenga is back with a vengeance! And here to meet the challenge of sanitation and orderliness, Rehabilitation Action for Baguio (RAB) Volunteers’ civic pride again thrust them on the frontlines during the 2 main festival days – the Saturday Grand Street dancing and the Sunday Grand Float parade.
“It is also with abject pride to note that RAB Volunteers’ value on the scene is considerably increased since the previous festival 3 years ago.
“This time, many of them are armed with D.O.H. issued certificates of proficiency in Basic Life Support and Standard First Aid, ready for any health emergencies.
“Baguio Public Information Office (P.I.O.) and no less than Mayor Benjamin Magalong himself acknowledged RAB Volunteers’ zealous contributions to the image of the city.
CONGRATULATIONS and THANK you to Ceny Pablo Gunnacao, Zeny Cariño Boadilla, Armela Javier, Angelie Pamela Cariño, Johny Frias, Marvin Miguel, Marg Bautista, Marcita Lim, Julieta Lorenzo, Jim Valdellon who were on the scene bright (actually dark pa) and early both days, and stayed till the job was done.
“Special thanks to Angeline Pamela Cariño for interfacing with Panagbenga Secretariat on behalf of RAB.
Once again, you ALL make RAB extremely proud” Carbonell concluded. (RAB V File photos)
