LIONS CLUB INTERNATIONAL D 301-C participated in simultaneous World Diabetes Day

The Association of Lions Club’s International District 301-C Northern, Philippines participated in World Diabetes Day a simultaneous event project of the Lions Club International on November 13, 2022, at the Grandstand, Melvin Jones, Baguio City.

The activity was led by 301-C District Governor Jeff Ng with the Baguio City Host Lions Club President Perlita Cuyan, Members: PDG Charlie Torres, 2VP Kathleen Ng, PP Leah Fariñas, PP Daisy Chan, and Angeline Buendia.

Together with the other clubs are; Baguio Family & Friends Lions Club headed by President Ralph Yambao, MJF, V-Pres. Dr. Helly Henry, IPP-Susan Angaga, MJF; Baguio Magnolia headed by President Lion Francisca Gloria Bay, V-President Ferly Garcia and Members: PP/ZC Cory Bernardo, IPP Mercie Gutierrez; Metro Baguio Lions Club President Dexter Soriano, V-President Efren Dee, Member: IPP Jaime Tee; Cordillera Adivay Lions Club President Precious Apple Alversado, 1st VP – Eugene Balway, 2nd VP – Charles Castañeda and Armela Javier; Baguio Session Club President Agnes Montoya, V-Pres. Arch Rene Bautista.

Also the Baguio Chrysanthemum Club President Emerita A. Acosta, 1st VP Brenda C. Figueroa; Baguio Kindasan Club headed by President Jennifer Baltazar, VP Imelda Abellera and Member: IPP Mariz Bomogao; Baguio SLU Medicine Campus, and Baguio Everlasting Lions Club President Jean Laranang, V-Pres. Dr. Celia Flor Brillantes.

Participants are Newsmiles Travel and Tours Service Cooperative headed by Atty. Jocelyn Yarte, Dolores Albro – Founder and Director of International Alliance District 1027, Alliance of Baguio City Ally Agnes Montoya, District Governor-1027 Past International Director Dolores Albro, Data Center Philippines, University of the Cordilleras, Red Cross Philippines, Baguio Chapter, and Philippines Medical Women Association.

In collaboration with the Saint Louis University School of Medicine, Baguio Everlasting, Philippine Medical Women’s Association, SLU Sacred Heart Medical Center, and Philippine National Red Cross.

It was a fun-filled day to get fit thru the Dance Fitness Exercises, STRIDES for Diabetes Awareness, to be informed of the effects of Diabetes, also to have one’s eyes & blood sugar and pressure testing, Diabetes/Retinopathy Lectures, Medical & Eye Consultation, Vision Screening, Retina Examination, and Reading Eyeglasses.
